Millions of people want to travel to Canada every year as it has been an amazing experience for many travelers. Canada Tourist Visa allows you to visit Canada for tourism purpose. It is a temporary Canadian immigration option which is granted for a maximum period of six months. Canada Tourist Visa is also known as Canadian Temporary Resident Visa (TVR). There are two types of Canada Tourist Visas- (a) Single entry visa, ( b) Multiple entry visa.

Single entry visa- Through this visa, you can visit Canada only once. When you leave Canada holding a single entry visa and wish to visit Canada again you have to apply for a new visa. But if you want to travel the United States (including its territories) or St. Pierre and Miquelon from Canada, you do not need a new visitor visa to return to Canada.

Multiple entry visa- Through this visa, you can visit multiple times to Canada with a period of six months without reapplying each time. This visa can be valid up to ten years, or one month before the expiration of passport.

The following things are considered to be eligibility criteria for applying for a Canada Tourist Visa which you need to prove to the immigration authorities:

• First of all, you should have a passport
• You are capable to survive in Canada on your own expenses
• You should be in good health and may be required to undergo a medical examination
• Your plan is to stay in Canada for a specific period of time for tourism purpose and you will leave Canada at the end of your visit.
• You do not have any intention to get employment while in Canada
• You have no criminal record and you agree to abide by the laws of Canada

E-Travel Authorization

E-Travel Authorization or Electronic Travel Authorization is a document that allows traveling in Canada and it is linked to a traveler’s passport electronically. So basically, it is compulsory for visa-exempt foreign nationals to enter Canada by air. The purpose of the E-Travel Authorization is to make the process simple for eligible individuals. This e-Travel Authorization enables you to travel in Canada and stay up to six months at a time and it’s valid for five years. You need an E-Travel Authorization only when you reach Canada by a flight. But if you arrive by any other transport you do not need it. Lawful permanent residents of the U.S. also need E-Travel Authorization while traveling by air with a valid Green Card and a passport.

How to apply for an E-Travel Authorization:

You can only apply to the official Government of Canada website. You can simply get approval within some minutes or some applications take time of a few days to process. You need your password a credit or debit card, and a valid email address.

Super Visa

Super Visa allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit Canada for up to two years of time and it can be extended for one year. Super Visa holders are not allowed to get any job. If they want to work in Canada, they have to apply for permanent residence program for parents and grandparents. This process can be done directly between the applicant and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). You can also take the advice of a consultant so that every step of a procedure can become easy.

Eligibility criteria for a super visa:

• An individual who is already a Canadian or permanent resident of Canada can invite his or her parents or grandparents to visit in Canada.
• If your parents or grandparents are dependent on you, they are not eligible for a super visa. But they can visit Canada for maximum of 6 months.
• All applicants are required to purchase private medical insurance for at least one year before reaching Canada. And they have to prove that medical insurance coverage is purchased from a Canadian Insurance Provider.
• This insurance policy must provide minimum coverage of $100,000 and should cover health care, hospitalization, and repatriation.
• Applicant should be available for review by an officer at a Canadian port of entry.

Temporary Residence Visa

A lot of migrants when coming to Canada, think that a Temporary Resident Visa allows them to stay in Canada as per the term of the Visa or the expiration date. But it is really important to understand what a Temporary resident visa actually means and the different kinds of TRV’s available to better migrate to Canada.

Temporary Residence Visa cannot be defined in one sentence because every time it doesn’t allow you to stay in Canada with the same terms and conditions. So, there are different kinds of TRV’s which are required to visit in Canada such as Visitor Visa, Study Visa, and Work Visa.

Visa is only a document which allows you to enter and exit the country but at the same, time its authenticity is very important. Therefore, certain things are checked by the Visa officer before providing a Temporary Residence Visa:

• A visa officer is always trying to know whether you want to visit Canada temporarily or you have a plan to stay there for a longer period of time and the officer want to know your connections to your home country. If you are employed and have all the proofs such as a letter of employment and confirmation, then it shows a strong connection to your home country and your application will be approved easily and early. Similarly, if you have family and property in your country with all relevant documents like birth certificates, passport, affidavits, it shows an important relationship to your country. Moreover, if you are connected with a community of volunteer group, it shows that you are willing to come back to your country to fulfill your commitments. And your previous travel record is also proof that you are genuinely going to travel to Canada on a temporary residence visa.
• Finances condition is also a very important thing which is checked by CIC. CIC will check and get a rough idea that you have sufficient money for food and accommodation while you are staying in Canada. For that, you have to give evidence of cash in your bank account because credit cards are not considered the actual fund you have. If you plan to stay with your friends or family, then you do not need to gather much amount with yourself. But you need to show relevant proofs that your friend or family member will be responsible for accommodation and food and a signed letter with address and contact number from your host must be provided.
